As of April 6, the residents of the province of BC – already heralded by cannabis connoisseurs for its coveted “BC Bud” – have been asked for their input on recreational cannabis consumption spaces.

The BC government has made available an online survey, which runs April 6 to May 8. The public’s opinion can assist the provincial government on how to regulate these smoke friendly spaces, or whether or not they should even be permitted.

Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General said, “We have heard from cannabis businesses that consumption spaces could provide an opportunity for the sector to become more economically viable and could better meet the interests of people who use cannabis.”

Apparently the provincial government was unaware but, BC is already considered a tourist destination for cannabis enthusiasts. Regions like Vancouver Island, the Okanagan and the Kootenays are well known for quality weed and beautiful scenery.
