*cannabis & psychedelics industries.
Like a weed, women in the cannabis industry continue to show their persistence to grow. Marigold PR, a female led branding and marketing firm hosts an annual Womxn, Wellness and Cannabis Conference to help contribute to the fertilization of industry ideas.
Feminine business owners, executives and leaders of the ever adapting cannabis and psychedelic spaces, were invited to gather online for two days of intellectual wellness based discussions. The event hosted a variety of speakers and extended the free invitation to over 2000 remote attendees from around the world.
The Womxn, Wellness and Cannabis (WWC) Conference is becoming the global platform for female industry dialogue. Already the largest event of its kind, WWC Conference connects females who are guiding the cannabis and psychedelic spaces through wellness based attitudes.
Day one promoted cannabis discussions about leadership, cultivation, health & wellness, operations, marketing & compliance, retail perspectives and patient insights. Energetic panel conversations on day one were the clear result of the conference’s high level of enthusiasm and participation.
Prevailing themes like collaboration, diversity & inclusion, patient access and education helped to illuminate the current failures and inconsistencies with present day regulations. Progressive solutions regarding these inconsistencies were amongst ideas discussed on day one.
WWC Conference organizers welcomed representatives from different countries with very diverse backgrounds to ensure a worldly dialogue. A couple male voices with experience in cannabis culture were also invited to ensure equal representation. Way to go ladies.
WWC Conference offered attendees the chance to listen and learn from panelists about mycology and more on day two of the conference. The second half of the event took focus on feminine contributions to the more recently notable psychedelic industry.
Panels on psychedelics were led by industry professionals who shared their experiences on PTSD & addiction therapy, the conjecture of psychedelic medicine and spirituality, research and innovation, as well as patient insights and clinical trials. WWC Conference even hosted a panel about psychedelic based retreats and travel experiences.
Knowledge bases surrounding psychedelics were shared and speculated on from modern and traditional points of view. Flush witnessed the strong female mindset towards psychedelic healing initiatives that are being refined through holistic, yet scientific collaborations.
Break out group discussions, speed networking sessions, cannabis cooking and psilocybin cultivation demos rounded out the two day itinerary. Another clear message from the conference was the massive and ongoing underrepresentation of racial minorities and female identifying groups in both of these burgeoning industries. A scale that must be tipped. WWC Conference and its dedicated collaborators are embracing this challenge.
The conference has been so well received that the forward thinking organizations Lift & Co. Expo, Flow Scientific, VIVO Cannabis, Flower Stampede, Edica Naturals and Canna Supplies showed up to sponsor the progress of women and wellness in cannabis and psychedelics.
A shout out is well deserved for the event lead Danielle McKay, partnership lead Tracy Collier, and Bridgett Hoffer and Katie Pringle who co-founded WWC Conference. These women’s inclusive and positive attitudes are a welcoming energy during the integration of the strong voices of women in the cannabis and psychedelic industries internationally.
